DIRECTOR
With over 26 years in the construction industry, Shane Maher brings a depth of experience that few can match. Starting his career on the tools as a carpenter a true “chippy” Shane built his reputation from the ground up, developing a practical, no-nonsense understanding of how quality homes are actually delivered.
Progressing into senior leadership roles, Shane has worked as a Construction Manager and Nominee Licencee for some of Queensland’s largest investment and custom home builders. Across his career, he has personally overseen and delivered more than 2,500 homes for Queensland families a track record built not just on volume, but on consistency, quality, and trust.
What sets Shane apart is simple: integrity.
In an industry where promises are often stretched, Shane is known as a man of his word. His long-standing relationships with trades, suppliers, and clients are a direct reflection of this and they form the backbone of every successful project delivered under his leadership.
Shane combines hands-on construction knowledge with high-level operational expertise, ensuring every home is built with precision, accountability, and care from slab to handover.

With over 33 years of experience across the construction industry, Steve Demeter brings a rare depth of knowledge spanning residential, commercial, industrial, high-rise, multi-residential, and NDIS projects. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the delivery of more than 10,000 successful projects a reflection of both his capability and his ability to consistently perform at scale.
As Director of Chiron Homes and Managing Director of SunStar Plumbing, Steve offers a unique, end-to-end perspective on construction. His grounding in plumbing one of the most critical trades on any project has shaped his approach to building: practical, detail-driven, and focused on getting things right from the start.
Steve understands that plumbing is both one of the first trades on site and one of the last to leave meaning its impact runs through every stage of the build. This insight underpins his commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes that support the entire construction process, not just one component of it.
Known for his integrity, strong values, and solution-driven mindset, Steve leads with clarity and accountability. He has built long-standing relationships with clients, trades, and suppliers grounded in trust, respect, and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional results.
At his core, Steve is about doing things properly not cutting corners, not overcomplicating just delivering quality work, backed by experience and strong relationships.

Andrea brings a unique mix of financial expertise, design insight, and construction experience to Chiron Homes.
With over 20 years running her own bookkeeping business and as a Registered BAS Agent, she ensures strong financial systems and accuracy across the business. Her background spans residential construction, interior decorating, and education, giving her a well-rounded understanding of both the numbers and the homes we create.
At Chiron Homes, Andrea plays a key role in accounts and client support helping keep projects organised, efficient, and running smoothly behind the scenes.
Outside of Work Andrea enjoys getting creative with custom cake design, spending time in her garden, and maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle.

Construction Administration
Ildiko plays a key role in keeping projects moving smoothly from approval through to construction.
With a strong focus on client liaison and construction administration, she manages applications, approvals, and certification processes ensuring every step is handled efficiently and correctly. Her attention to detail and calm, organised approach help bring clarity to what can often be a complex part of the building journey.
At Chiron Homes, Ildiko is a steady hand behind the scenes supporting both clients and the team to keep projects progressing with confidence.
Outside of Work Ildiko is a passionate animal lover especially dogs and enjoys spending time outdoors, going for walks, and embracing a calm, balanced lifestyle. Family-oriented and grounded, she values the simple moments and brings a positive outlook to everything she does.
